A NORTHWICH firm has ensured all-year-round exposure with a second major sponsorship deal.

Britannia Carpets, the main sponsor of Northwich Victoria, has also stepped in to provide a cash boost for Oulton Park Cricket Club.

They have agreed a two-year sponsorship deal with the Murray Smith Cheshire County Cricket League ECB Premiership club for their junior cricket school.

It is run by Tony Eustance, who was recently made Vale Royal's sports coach of the year, and is also the co-ordinating manager of Cheshire U9s, U10s, and U11s.

His main assistants are Stuart McLeod and Andy Roberts, and they will be running seven junior teams during the summer.

The coaching evenings are 6-8pm with the U15s on a Monday and the U11s and U13s on a Wednesday.

Oulton Park's 21-year-old Australian Andrew Kent, who was in the Australian U19s squad, attended the Australian Cricket Academy and was recently a Lords Taverners' Young Cricketer of the Year will be at each evening to pass on his knowledge to the youngsters

l NORTHWICH Cricket Club are in negotiation with Moss Farm on the construction of a second square amongst the soccer pitches.

They are at "an advanced stage", according to a spokesman, and they hope it will allow further expansion of the junior section and more opportunities for social cricket.

Northwich is also working towards the Sport England accredited ClubMark scheme.

This gives them official recognition in providing a safe and secure facility for all its members, particularly the juniors.
