WINNINGTON Park U13s are celebrating this week after claiming second place in the Northern Championship.
Park took on Alderley Edge in the final after beating all-comers in the earlier rounds and were unlucky to lose to the much fancied side 1-0.
Coach Tom McLean said: "They played beautiful hockey today.
"It was a joy to watch and every one of them thoroughly deserves their position as silver medalists in the north of England.
