I WRITE with a plea to the good people of our borough to do something about the outrageous muggings happening in both Runcorn and Widnes.
I am happy to name these shameless robbers; they are of course Halton Council.
What right have they to up our taxes by nearly 20 per cent, simply because of their own failings?
This is not democratic and I question whether it is legal.
No other organisation or business could do this and remain trading, but of course they know we cannot go to an alternative supplier and they are accountable to no one.
I believe that Halton Council has no conscience - and no business or financial ability.
