IMAGINATIVE students turned the clock back 400 years for an entertaining drama.
They staged an adapted Elizabethan comedy called Volpone at a state-of-the-art theatre in Halton College's new £8m campus.
The play was about greed, fraud and deception.
The audience was warned to expect the unexpected!
Drama student Jenna White, said: "It's been really good. We've done comedy and panto before, we thought this would be a challenge. It was very well received.
"We presented it in a promenade style which meant the audience is moving around and sitting at different areas of the stage."
She said everyone helped to make it a huge success.
"We all pulled together," said Jenna. "We hired, borrowed and adapted costumes.
"It was a big team effort."
Tickets for all the performances were free.
