Murder accused appears in court

A NEWLY wed accused of murdering his wife of six months appeared in court.

Michael Roberts, aged 26, was due to enter a plea to the crime of killing his wife, Victoria Wynne-Jone, aged 25, on November 29, 2009, but the hearing was adjourned due to legal delays.

Victoria was found strangled in the garage of their home on Partington Square, Daresbury, on December 3.

The defendant is expected to enter a plea at Chester Crown Court on April 30.

A trial date, for Roberts, who appeared at Chester Crown Court today, Thursday, was reserved for July.
