Mum’s the word for fundraising Pink Ladies

SIX Burtonwood mums have formed a fundraising group and organised a charity night this Saturday.

Mum-of-three Kait Betty, aged 30, revealed how the parents, whose children go to Burtonwood Primary School, got together to form the Pink Ladies after showing an interest in charity work.

Their first event takes place at Burtonwood Catholic Club, on Clay Lane, at 7pm to raise money for Breast Cancer Research.

There will be a disco, bar, food, games, bingo, face painting and an auction and entry costs £1.

Kait, who is joined by Helen Hope, Paula Woods, Kelly Gregory, Tracy Haughton and Emma Burns, said: “If this goes well we’ll hold annual events.

“We already have a hamper, bouquets and a handbag as prizes for the night and we would ask Warrington businesses to help out further.”
