SOON to be mum Lindsay Kendrick has entered her 26th week of pregnancy and best friend Samantha Bromwell has promised her a baby shower.

Lindsay, aged 25, will have the party in May but first she must contend with exams and coursework for her degree in childhood and youth studies with criminology at Edge Hill University.

The first time mum, from Cinnamon Brow, is also working hard at Warrington Youth Club, at Old Hall’s Peace Centre. Last week she took a group of youngsters to an art exhibition in the Midlands which included an overnight stay.

Lindsay said: “I’m working hard but I feel fine and I go on maternity leave in 11 weeks.

“University is keeping me busy but I’ll be able to get a lot done during the Easter holidays.

“I’m really looking forward to the shower – that will be fun and a chance for everyone to get together before the birth.”

Lindsay is planning a hospital birth and is due for an appointment with her midwife at Guardian Medical Centre, Guardian Street, next week.

There she will seek advice on breastfeeding, which she hopes will be her chosen method of feeding the new arrival.

Her previous craving for lemonade has disappeared as heartburn takes over but apart from that Linsday is enjoying a healthy appetite and diet.

She added: “The baby is very active and kicks a lot!

“I have a few aches and pains but no major discomfort. The bump is getting bigger all the time!”
