PLANS to regenerate Bank Park are still on track according to a senior councillor.

Clr Bob Barr said a new set of planning rules will help the council when it teams up with a developer to regenerate the town centre park.

He told Monday’s meeting of the council’s executive that he was determined to make the park one of the best in the region.

Andy Farrall, head of environment at the council, said it will allow a real improvement to that part of town and fit in with the development of the whole town centre.
