A TOP development boss was in town to see the vision for the future of the borough.
Richard McCarthy is the director general of housing and planning at the Department for Communities and Local Government and came to see major regeneration sites in the town including the Waterfront site behind Bank Quay, Omega, Orford Park and Chapelford.
Mr McCarthy also acts as the department’s lead official on physical regeneration, sustainable development and the environment.
Andy Farrell, executive director of environment and regeneration, said: “We have great plans for the Warrington of tomorrow.
“Over the past few years we have won many millions of pounds worth of funding to regenerate and improve the borough and have ambitious plans.
“Work on Woolston Community Hub and Orford Park is now under way and plans were recently announced to revitalise Sankey Valley Park and Walton Hall.”
