DRAGON Peter Jones paid a visit to Warrington to meet the man behind an investment he missed out on.

The star of the BBC2 show Dragons Den was at Bents Garden and Home in Glazebury for a new show where the businessmen meet the entrepreneurs who turned down the offer of cash.

Eddie Middleton, with his eco-friendly ‘Chillchaser’ patio heaters, was originally offered a deal by Peter Jones and James Caan worth £255,000 for 48 per cent of his company, but turned down the offer.

He said: “Appearing on Dragons Den was a great opportunity and it was fantastic to get an offer for the business.

“The support from Peter and James would have been hugely beneficial but I am confident I made the right decision and have enjoyed meeting up with Peter again”

Eddie chose Bents as the garden centre is now selling his product.
