A WEEK of activities building up to Disability Awareness Day kicked off in Golden Square on Saturday.
Visitors were given the chance to record their own vox pops in Big Brother-style video booths, discussing their opinions on mental health.
And Deputy Mayor, Clr John Joyce, was among the first to try it out.
Events taking place throughout the week include the big barbecue and quiz on Friday night with the big day on Sunday.
Action starts in the arena at 10am and events run until 5pm.
A free park and ride bus service will be available from the car park next to Morrison’s to Walton Gardens with the last bus returning at 5.40pm.
