THE inside lane of the M6 between junction 21 at Woolston and junction 21A at Croft Interchange has re-opened after a lorry collided with a car this morning.

The accident involving the HGV and Vauxhall Corsa happened at around 11.45am on the northbound carriageway and saw the lane of the motorway closed for 15 minutes.

There was one casualty who was taken to Warrington Hospital but the ambulance service was unable to confirm whether it was the driver of the lorry or the car.

Their injuries are not thought to be serious.
