Comments (0)A CHARITY cancer night takes place in Penketh, on Friday.
The event takes place at the Penketh Tavern (formerly the Royal British Legion), in Greystone Road, at 8pm and entrance costs £3 per person.
The quiz has been organised by the Warrington branch of the North West Cancer Research Fund.
The charity has recruited a team of 60 of the world’s leading experts in their fields, who are working to find the basic causes of and cures for many different forms of the disease.
Last year, a similar event raised £800. This year’s quiz night will include stand-up bingo, cash prizes for each round, and an overall jackpot.
