Full steam ahead

HUNDREDS of young people packed into the Pyramid to take advantage of an exclusive event for teenagers.

The Way Ahead event invited young people aged between 13 and 16 to find out more about the education and training options available to youngsters in years nine, 11 and 13.

An online prospectus, The Way:ahead Cheshire and Warrington, was one of the main features of the event and is packed with information about the many qualifications and progression routes available. Students also got the chance to tap into information from other exhibitors including universities, work-based learning providers, employers, schools and colleges and other agencies that support education.

And they were allowed to find out more about the new diplomas available to young people in Warrington, including society health and development, which is available now and construction, engineering, creative and media, hair and beauty, hospitality and business administration and finance, which will be available from September.
