THE funeral of Sharon Corless, the mum-of-three who was killed while riding her bike, took place this morning.

Mourners filled St Peter's Catholic Church in Woolston for the service.

Mrs Corless, a support worker in Warrington Hospital's maternity ward, died on September 27 after being hit by a Range Rover Sport in Howley.

Her husband, Peter, was seriously injured in the accident and spent days in hospital with leg and pelvic injuries.

Mrs Corless left her husband Pete, daughters Megan, who turns 21 tomorrow, Saturday, Olivia, aged 18, and son Tom, aged 12, as well as a large extended family.

Memorials flooded into the Warrington Guardian following her tragic death.

A woman has been released on police bail until November 14, pending further investigation.

Leave your memories of Mrs Corless and condolence messages to her family here.

Dear Sharon, may you rest in peace.

I am so sorry for Sharon's family. I and my family join in sending our hearts and compassion to you. Our 25 year old son Anthony, a proficient keen cyclist, died this July, hit by a van. The driver is on bail. I his dad, who was with him but mercifully some might say, not right there, his mum and sister have lost a beloved son and brother, taken in this cruel way.
Dear family, you are never alone in your grief. Dave, Sue, Theresa.
