WARRINGTON Animal Welfare is urging people to find good homes for the abandoned and unwanted dogs currently at its shelter.

August is National Dog Adoption month and volunteers are hoping animal lovers will consider re-homing the dogs, which are all neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated.

To make an appointment to see the dogs call 07837 344418 or 07706 909157 or visit warringtonanimalwelfare.co.uk for more information.

Holly is a three-year-old cross breed. She is an extremely affectionate dog which would suit family life as she adores children.

Ben is a young cross-breed. He is full of fun, very friendly and loves playing with other dogs.

Teddy is an 18-month-old staffie mastiff cross. He has no problems with other dogs and loves playing.

Leon is a three-year-old terrier.

He needs an adult only home as he cannot help snatching food from children. He is very affectionate, full of fun, loves walking and gets on well with other dogs.
