Man seriously assaulted in Hazel Grove

A STOCKPORT man has been seriously assaulted in Hazel Grove following a night out.
The assault took place some time between 1 and 2am on Saturday (August 16) close to a taxi rank on the A6 London Road.
The 25-year-old man received serious head injuries and was being treated at Hope Hospital where his condition was described as serious.
Detective Sergeant Hadyn Roberts said: "We are still awaiting a full prognosis of the man's injuries, but early indications show that he has been the victim of a very serious assault.
"If anyone was around the London Road area at the time and may have information that could help I would appeal to them to come forward."
