AN unwitting landlord was the star of a daytime TV show when his home was rennovated in a whirlwind 60 minutes.
Tim Martin has been running the Parr Arms pub in Grappenhall village for the past nine months but with a new place to look after, he had not had time to decorate his own living area.
“I mentioned the show to him months ago and he said he watched it but he had no idea it was happening.”

So Isabelle Roberts, aged 27, who works at the pub decided to help.
She called in the team from ITV show 60 Minute Makeover and on Friday, a TV crew as well as presenters Terri Dwyer (formerly of Hollyoaks) and Craig Phillips (a former Big Brother winner) and 50 workers descended on Grappenhall while Tim was away.
When the 34-year-old returned, four rooms upstairs in the pub had been completely rennovated.
Isabelle said: “It was a complete surprise for him, he was totally shocked and he even cried.
“He really deserves this. He works 24/7 and has had to win over the locals and turn the place around.
“I mentioned the show to him months ago and he said he watched it but he had no idea it was happening.”
The show is likely to air in September.
