A WINSFORD man with bi-polar disorder was assaulted at his home and had a window smashed on Thursday, May 22.
Trefor Thomas, 58, of Ford Court, opened his door and suffered two cracked ribs after being punched by a boy who had earlier knocked on the door and run off.
The incident happened at around 11pm.
Trefor said: "Little things like this don't frighten me and I was angry about it but he is just a stupid little twit really and having to live with bi-polar is like a living hell."
Bipolar disorder is a mood condition characterised by recurring episodes of mania, depression and possibly psychotic symptoms. About one per cent of the adult population has the disorder and it often runs in families.
Police are investigating the incident.
