PAUL Cullen believes Wolves can take some consolation from knowing that they have turned their derby' with St Helens into a classic fixture in recent years.
Wolves are without a win in 23 games against their rivals but have almost always pushed Saints close in recent years, having regularly been thrashed in the past.
Saturday's 40-34 in the fifth round of the Challenge Cup is being talked about as one of the great cup ties and Cullen said: "We were bitterly disappointed to lose but St Helens-Warrington used to be a one-sided embarrassment. It isn't any more.
"We've a right to feel proud about what we've achieved in creating a modern day rugby league classic in this fixture.
"We know we're a fraction short and we strive to make that ground up."
