THE rest of the country might be on the brink of an economic meltdown but business is booming for one Middlewich company.
Ti amo hair and beauty salon in Hightown is celebrating its first year anniversary and staff say that business has never been better.
Mel Sibley, the company's business consultant, said: "The first year has been excellent for us, the turnover has almost trebled, we are thankful for how well it's gone, it's been a real bonus and we are feeling optimistic for the future."
The salon, which used to be called Beauty Fix, has undergone massive refurbishment work and reinvented itself as a trendy, vibrant hair and beauty salon offering all the latest beauty fads from botox and lip plumping to teeth whitening treatments and hair extensions.
While members of the public are thought to be tightening the purse strings and curbing their spending habits staff at Ti amo say they are inundated with customers wanting the latest beauty treatments.
Mel believes that the business is continuing to grow as more people follow the trends set by celebrities who have put exclusive beauty treatments, such as botox, on the map.
"I think people are for ever in search of that eternal youthful look," she said.
"And with all the promotion in celebrity magazines and our celebrity obsession more people are wanting these treatments."
The salon celebrated its first successful year in business with a birthday bash for all its loyal customers at the premises on Thursday.
