Conditional discharge for £2,600 fraudster

A WOMAN has been given a 12-month conditional discharge for benefit fraud.
Runcorn Magistrates Court heard how Juliana Smith, aged 48, of Lowerhouse Lane, Widnes, fraudently claimed £2,607.34 in housing and council tax benefits despite returning to work.
Smith's claims were assessed on her receiving Incapacity Benefit.
She was also ordered to pay £100 costs.
