Ethnic grants available to groups

SMALL grants are available to groups courtesy of the Warrington Ethnic Communities Association They are for groups who can demonstrate a positive impact on community cohesion and integration. Residents have until Friday, February 8 to apply.

I think this is a good thing.... we already give grants for disabilities, children, sports, pensioners, arts, etc. etc.

Anything that makes us all live happier together has surely got to be a good thing.

If I remember correctly wasn't it reported in the Guardian that last year help pay for some English classes for new (Polish) Warringtonians. I think it's great if we can all speak the same language.

I'm off out for a curry tonight, with my footy club mates.... just think 30 years ago we'd have had to settle for pie, chips and mushy peas!
