TWO teenagers have appeared in court charged with an attempted armed robbery in Orford.
The 16-year-old and 17-year-old boys were arrested after police were called to a shop on Concorde Place on Poplars Avenue at 10.30pm on March 17.
Investigations uncovered that one person entered the store with a gun and demanded the till was opened.
Another stood by the entrance on lookout.
When the shop assistant refused, the two fled from the store.
Officers made a number of enquiries and arrested two suspects, who were later charged with attempted robbery and possessing a firearm.
The two teens appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
