A TEENAGER was sexually assaulted by a man while walking along a footpath in Appleton.
The 18-year-old was approached by the stranger on Thursday, February 23, at 11.40am on the footpath between Caversham Close and Broomfields Leisure Centre.
Police say the man tried to initiate contact with the victim by touching her.
The teen was temporarily forced to stop in her tracks after the man prevented her from walking away.
The suspect is described as white, obese, aged between 28 to 30 with a stubbly, yellow beard and distinctive small eyes.
He had messy, short hair which was white blond on one side, bleached on the other and shaved at the sides.
He was dressed in a black snood covering the lower part of his face, an orange or tan tracksuit with a zip-up hooded top.
His trainers were white including the laces which were covered in mud.
