ARSONISTS set fire to a number of bins in Fearnhead in the early hours of this morning.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and Cheshire Police were called to Lysander Drive shortly after midnight after a number of wheelie bins were targeted.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Cheshire Police on 101 or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Meanwhile, the emergency services also attended a blaze on the M62 shortly after 9pm last night.
A car on the hard shoulder of the westbound carriageway between junction eight at Burtonwood and junction seven at Rainhill was described as 'well alight'.
Police closed the westbound carriageway during the incident due to large amounts of smoke, but reopened the motorway at 9.25pm.
The car was 'badly damaged' by the fire.
