The pair, who have two young children, have been left without items they have kept for years including wedding cards, items they have kept from their childhood and goods also belonging to their children.

"There were little things in there like a school project I did when I was eight. It is not worth anything but has so many memories for me," added Mrs Forsyth.

The removal van also contained furniture, books, CDs and two fillings cabinet full of personal information.
