A MUM-of-two is setting up her own Slimming World group after her own weight loss journey was inspired by her daughter asking if she was pregnant.

Becki Ashworth from Padgate has lost three stone in seven months since her three-year-old daughter asked the credit control manager ‘if there was another baby in her tummy’.

Now the 35-year-old is starting her own Slimming World group in Cinnamon Brow.

She said: “Before joining Slimming World I knew I was overweight and clothes shopping was a really stressful experience which I avoided where possible.

“Now I am actually enjoying trying on smaller sizes and more fashionable clothing.

“I found it so easy to join Slimming World and everyone was so friendly and welcoming.

“I attend group every week and get lots of tips, ideas and most importantly support from my fellow members – I don’t believe I would have been able to lose what I have without this group.”

The group will meet every Wednesday at 7pm at St Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church starting on June 15.

Becki added: “I love that you can just fill your plate up with every day meals like spaghetti Bolognese, chili and chicken curry with no counting, weighing or measuring your food and being a new mum of two young children I just would have the time to do this.

“Also the meals are family friendly so we can all eat together and I don’t have to make a separate meal for me.”
