A NIGHTCLUB in the town centre has closed after drugs were discovered on the premises.
Police raided Rain on Academy Way at 11pm last night after executing a search warrant.
The club closed on a voluntary basis after drugs were found on the premises.
Two people were arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
Peter Shaw, of Warrington Police, said: “Taking controlled drugs in Warrington town Centre will not be tolerated and those bringing drugs into town will be arrested and prosecuted.
“The action taken recently by police demonstrates our commitment to deal robustly with offenders and make Warrington a safer place”
A 25-year-old man was also arrested for drunk and disorderly behaviour at around 4am.
