A SIX-year-old made his mum dress as a minion for the day and also donated money he was given by the Tooth Fairy in aid of Oxfam.

Cinnamon Brow youngster Fletcher Downey made his mum Stacey Williams wear two whacky outfits as part of the charity’s Dressed by the Kids Day.

The 33-year-old was forced to wear a minions costume when dropping him off and picking him up from Cinnamon Brow Primary School, and for the rest of the day she was made to dress in a bizarre outfit that included a welly on one foot and a high heel on the other.

Speaking to the Warrington Guardian ahead of the day, Stacey said: “Fletcher saw an advert on the TV and he got a bit emotional about it – he said he ‘wanted to help the children with the dirty water’.

“I dread to think what I’m going to look like – I’ve got an idea and it’s not looking pretty.

“At the moment he’s having me wear different footwear on each foot so I’ll have a welly on one and a high heel on the other.

“I’ve got quite a professional job and I’m going to have to dress up in work as well as doing the school run – he wants me dressed as a minion for that and I’ve got to walk to make it even more embarrassing.”

Fletcher also donated £20 he was given by the tooth fairy to charity and his fundraising has yield around £400 for Oxfam so far.

Stacey, who works in corporate business for British Airways, added: “You don’t tend to see six-year-olds doing that so I’m really proud of him – it’s an amazing thing to do.

“He lost his tooth as well and he decided that he would give his money from the tooth fairy to charity.”
