THIS week on Yester Years we have unearthed this remarkable picture of the second Thelwall Viaduct.
The first bridge was built in 1963 to carry the M6 over the Manchester Ship Canal and the Mersey.
As this picture shows, the second bridge was only constructed in 1995.
The longest span is at more than 300 feet.
