WARRINGTON Festival is set to return in 2016 as part of ambitious plans from Culture Warrington.
The event is likely to take place over 10 days in September and include the English Half Marathon and live music again in Bank Park.
It follows a successful launch event last year which saw 6,000 runners take part and a bumper crowd watch Pixie Lott perform live.
Bosses are also hoping to encourage schools to use more of the resources in the town’s collection.
Emma said: “We have thousands of items in our collection that can really enhance learning for children.
“So one of our goals this year is to support teachers. We want to give children a better understanding of what we have got in Warrington.”
