WEATHER warnings in Warrington have lifted following a chaotic Boxing Day yesterday.

But another warning has been issued by the Met Office for Wednesday.

A yellow warning remains in place for Wednesday with public urged to be prepared for the severe weather ahead.

Winds of up to 25mph are predicted for Wednesday.

According to the Met Office website, yellow means keep an eye on the latest forecast and be aware that the weather may change or worsen, leading to disruption of plans in the next few days.  

A chief forecaster for the Met Office released the following information about the north west for Wednesday.

“As we head towards the end of the year, a very strong jet stream across the Atlantic looks like orienting itself such that we are likely to see some very disturbed and potentially stormy weather across the UK."

But despite the heaving rainfall yestersday the weather is expected to remain dry in Warrington today, Sunday, and Monday.
