A UNIVERSITY student is hoping to use what happened during the Second World War in Warrington for a university dissertation.
Gabrielle Kenny, from Warrington, is researching life in wartime Warrington as part of her degree at Liverpool John Moores University.
And she is looking for readers of the Warrington Guardian to help her.
She is looking for:
- Anyone who has stories/memories of life in Warrington during the Second World War, even if they're childhood memories.
- Specifically memories of any local rivalries or tensions between both rival workforces and surrounding towns
- How people remember life during the war and how their experiences or experiences of those that lived through it has affected their knowledge and perception of it.
If anyone can help, e-mail us at newsdesk@guardiangrp.co.uk or write to Yester Years, The Warrington Guardian, 138 Bridge Street, Warrington, WA1 2RU.
