What a poorly organised mess this funday was. We arrived with 6 year olds really excite at about 11.55 to see the minions. We were advised that they would be out and at the front of the store at 12pm and so we waited. At 12.15 we were told that they would be out at 12.30. At 12.30 we were told that they would be out at 12.45. At 12.45 we were told that they would be out at 1.30. I attempted to get some reason behind this only to be told by the store manager that it was an "external company" and that they had no idea where the people were and because its wasn't ToysRUs at fault, I couldn't make a complaint. There were parents leaving the store with kids absolutely heartbroken because they didn't get to see the minions.

In future, I'll save my money for a shop that actually cares about the fact that families shop there and not just treat parents as a ransomed commodity or a cash cow. ToysRUs should remember that Smyths is only 10 minutes down the M62 as thats where I'll be shopping in future.

Except that this company was engaged by ToysRUs to provide a service. TRU advertised the event. Of course people can complain. TRU will do sod-all about it, but they should at least listen to complaints.
