FLASHBACK: Wolves unable to break down Quins
 |
| Chris Leikvoll shows his disappointment at events on the field during last May's loss to Harlequins |
WOLVES suffered a shock 17-4 defeat on Harlequins' last visit to The Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Last May's clash marked the start of a tricky period that continued with league and cup defeats to St Helens and a loss at Leeds.

We must make sure that this does not happen again this evening, all eyes around the super league clubs are beginning to turn towards the wolves now as serious contenders for this years grand final. It's ok beating the top sides at home so long as we don't surrender the points gained from those clubs by losing to (i won't say smaller clubs) the more unfashionable clubs. Our task tonight will be made more difficult by the loss of some great players, namely lee briers, stuart reardon, and louis anderson but i think our younger players have stepped up to the mark this season especially steve pickersgill and andy bracek. If the crowd get behind the wolves from the word go, and we defend our line well then it should be another two points hopefully towards old trafford. We would be 4 points above saints with a win and a home game against them approaching fast it could be a lot to overhaul for saints for the 2nd place especially as they have to face wigan a further 3 times yet. So come on the wire!!!
