THE scene is set. A respectable garden party is thrown to celebrate Lord Cava’s retirement and the handing over of his sparkling wine empire to his nephew, Charles Standen-Delliver.

But when Charles is later found dead, clutching Lord Cava’s beloved pet parrot, only Inspector Back can unravel the mystery.

Heartbreak Productions will be presenting an open air version of David Kerby-Kendall's Murder on the Terrace at Walton Hall on Friday, June 17.

Bronwyn Ainsworth, from the Leamington Spa touring theatre group, said: "This original murder mystery by David Kerby-Kendall will be an interactive play with references to Downton, Agatha Christie – part romp, part farce and a whole lot of fun.

"Come along and figure out if you can decipher whodunnit."

Heartbreak Productions is also presenting David Walliams’ Ratburger at Walton Hall on August 23 after the success of their 2015 production of the David Walliams novel, Mr Stink.

- Murder on the Terrace is a two and a half hour show with a 20 minute interval and is suitable for children aged eight and over.

Heartbreak Productions was formed in 1991 and the group is now in its 24th year of touring open-air theatre.
