THE sad, funny and humorous Willy Russell tale Our Day Out will wow crowds in Stockton Heath this week.

The Stockton Heath Methodist Theatre Workshop performance will include lively songs as well as the story of underprivileged, remedial children who are taken on an outing by their teacher. Liberalist teacher Mrs Kay just wants the kids to have a good time - but authoritarian Briggs is concerned that it should be more educational.

The performance runs from today until Saturday at Stockton Heath Methodist Church Hall on Walton Road.

Tickets, priced £3.50 and £3 for children, are available on the door with performances starting at 7.30pm.
