FANS of the TV show That Mitchell and Webb Look will have loved this show.

For me, the funniest thing was a five-second mime gag that was so quick you'd miss it if you blinked.

Essentially, this really was one for the fans. It was the TV show brought to life on stage. Maybe I was the odd one out for thinking it might be more than a collection of quick-fire sketches, notable mainly for their catchphrases (Oh, that's a bad miss') which would mean nothing to you if you don't watch it religiously.

Big Talk was a popular highlight - particularly when, at last, they involved the audience in the show and asked them for their big questions', which on this night amounted to Was the A Team real? - and Numberwang was also greeted with cheers.

Unfortunately, the three guests I took with me were a little unfamiliar with the show and looked at me a little blankly when I started clapping at the end of the respective sketches.

Don't get me wrong - it was funny. The improvised wit conjured up by the interactive Big Talk section was genuinely sharp, clever and funny.

I suppose I just yearned for a little more involvement with the audience, to make it something more than the TV show on stage.

But let's finish on a positive: it was a faultless effort (I think there was only one fluffed line in the entire showwhich is phenomenal given the quantity of script) and very entertaining.

Recommended for the fans, but don't expect anything more than a stage version of the show.
