THE Christmas story gets a modern update in Scrub That Manger, which comes to Warrington later this month.

The Riding Lights Theatre Company's production is set in a family run B&B, which is bustling with guests when a young couple turn up out of the blue with a very unusual load.

Follow Hannah as the events unfold around her leaving a trail of messy chaos.

Scrub That Manger has been written by Neil Pugmire and is richly spiced with seasonal songs and carols. The play brings a touch of the theatre company's slapstick comedy, riotous humour and mystery to the tale of the first Christmas.

The show will be on at the Salvation Army Centre, on Academy Street, on Saturday, December 23.

There will be two performances on the day, running at 3pm and 7pm.

Tickets cost £6 (£4 for concessions) and are available by calling the box office on 01904 613000.
