Staff from across Gascoigne Halman’s 18 offices participated in a team building day with a difference.

The event, which was based on the popular television show ‘It’s a Knockout’, was held at Macclesfield Rugby Union Football Club and saw staff battle it out to win £1,000 for the charity of their choice.

Six teams took part in the Gascoigne Halman ‘Knock em out’ event, but it was Team Extreme who scooped first place and took home the trophy, as well as the obligatory bottle of champagne.

Headed up by Matthew Clark, manager of the Bramhall office, Team Extreme will donate their £1,000 winnings to St Ann’s Hospice.

The Untouchables team, whose captain was Bobby Shahlavi from Lymm, won £500 for finishing as runners up. That will be donated St Rocco’s Hospice, The Untouchables’ chosen charity.

St Ann’s Hospice and St Rocco’s Hospice both care for and support individuals and their families who are affected by cancer and other life limiting illnesses.

St Ann’s supports people across its three sites (Cheadle, Wythenshawe and Worsley), as well as in their own homes, while St Rocco’s Hospice provides support in Warrington.

Commenting on the success of the event, managing director John Halman said: “‘Knock em out’ was a great opportunity for everyone from across the network to get together, and despite the mixed weather we had a fantastic evening of fun.

“It was hilarious to see colleagues staggering around in some of the ‘It’s a Knockout’ inspired costumes, and of course even better to know that it was all in the name of two very worthy causes.”

Gascoigne Halman is a leading independent estate agent with a network of 18 offices across Cheshire, High Peak and south Manchester.

The company has already raised nearly £5,000 for St Ann’s Hospice and a further £1,000 for St Rocco’s Hospice this year.
