A DANGEROUS anti-psychotic drug which can cause death if taken in excess has been lost in Bewsey.

Police say a quantity of the prescription drug Clozapine was mislaid by a patient some time since yesterday, possibly in the Longshaw Street area.

Clozapine is a very strong anti-psychotic drug. People are advised that while it cannot be used for recreational drug abuse it is dangerous if taken by people who are not used to its effects or if it is taken in excess.

Its powerful effects can range from drowsiness through to high blood pressure, and in some cases, even death.

The patient has lost a four-week supply of the drug, which was contained in a white folder with blister packs marked 'breakfast' and 'tea'.

If you find the drugs drop them into your nearest police station, pharmacy or hospital.
