Match Pointers
VICS can further enhance their survival chances with a win at Oxford United tomorrow, Saturday.
The form guide makes for better reading with each passing week as Tuesday's draw at York City took them to only one defeat in their past ten outings. They have taken 15 points from the past 21 available - a run that sits them second in the form standings behind only champions-elect Aldershot Town.
Manager Dino Maamria has strengthened his hand with the addition of Mark Roberts and David Brown on loan from Accrington Stanley this week.
Roberts could go straight into the starting line up, most likely at the expense of Danny Meadowcroft, while Brown may have to settle for a place on the bench.
Scott Tynan is hoping to be fit again after twisting his ankle against Farsley Celtic last Saturday, but Ben Connett stands by if he can't make it. Joel Byrom limped off at Kit Kat Crescent on Tuesday and faces a race against time to be fit. Michael Carr would take his place.
Fit again Danny Williams is likely to figure in the match day squad, which means no place for forgotten men Josh Wilson and Nat Kerr.
Opponents Oxford expect to welcome back on loan Michael Howard to their defence after he missed Easter Monday's win over Stevenage Borough. Another loanee, Kidderminster Harriers' Michael Blackwood, should push up into midfield.
Justin Richards, also on loan from the Harriers, faces a fight for his place in attack with Craig McAllister pushing for a starting place alongside Matt Green.
The Us have little left to play for this season after failing to mount the expected promotion bid, languishing in midtable ahead of tomorrow's game.
They have won their past three matches though, against Stevenage Borough, Halifax Town and Stafford Rangers, to ease the pressure on under fire boss Darren Patterson.
They also have beaten Vics at the Kassam once already this season, a 3-1 win securing their passage into the FA Cup First Round back in November.
