| Young mother Kayleigh Roberts tragically died last weekend |
THE family of the popular young mother tragically killed in a collision last weekend have spoken of their anguish.
Kayleigh Roberts, aged 21, of Runcorn, died when a Kawasaki off-road motorbike she was a passenger on was in collision with a Volkswagen Golf in Murdishaw Avenue, Runcorn, about 7.40pm last Saturday.
The statement read: "The whole family is devastated at the loss of our beautiful angel Kayleigh.
"As a family the loss of Kayleigh - the happy young woman - means that not only have we lost her but our life is now empty.
"Kayleigh will be in our thoughts forever, but very badly missed."
The former St Chad's High School pupil died at the scene.
Her family added that she "adored" her 16-month-old son Reece.
"As far as she was concerned he was her world," they said.
The family also said she was a popular figure in the town.
"Kayleigh loved life and lived it to the full as all her friends will testify.
"She loved visiting the holiday destination of Tenerife where she enjoyed the music and the club scene.
"Kayleigh loved her music and could regularly be heard before she was seen when she was out in her car."
The 24-year-old rider of the bike suffered serious leg injuries. He was described as being in a "stable" condition at Warrington Hospital after undergoing surgery.
A 54-year-old woman, who was driving the Golf, was taken to hospital suffering from shock, but was later released.
Details of Kayleigh's funeral are yet to be arranged.
Anyone with information should contact Sgt Neil Farnworth, of Widnes Specialist Investigations Unit, on 0845 458 0000 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
