Cullen praises Louis for Cas performance

LOUIS Anderson could be hit with a suspension tonight, Wednesday, but Paul Cullen has paid tribute to the Kiwi's performance at Castleford on Monday.

Anderson is set to attend an RFL disciplinary hearing to find out whether he will be banned after being sent to the sin bin for a late tackle on Huddersfield kicker Kevin Brown on Good Friday.

But he produced a much more positive contribution four days later at Castleford, when he grabbed the 79th-minute try that handed Wolves a dramatic 34-31 win.

Louis also played a part in a move made in New Zealand, taking Paul Rauhihi's pass and then feeding brother Vinnie for a try that put Wolves 30-18 ahead with 24 minutes to play.

Cullen said: "Louis is a great competitor.

"He switched round on Monday. He played loose forward on Friday against Huddersfield and he was back at left second row on Monday.

"We changed and put Paul Johnson at loose forward because we wanted to take Castleford on right up the middle of the field.

"We didn't want to go there and start pushing the ball too wide, too early. That would have been a mark of disrespect to Castleford and we knew we'd have to beat their pack.

"That's why we wanted a more direct approach up the middle of the field.

"But it was a very brave play from Paul Rauhihi, Louis Anderson and Vinnie Anderson. That Kiwi triangle really did score the try that broke the game in our favour."
