It's showtime for the most anticipated fight of the year!
Undefeated world-middleweight king Joe Calzaghe took on former world middleweight, super-middleweight and current light-heavyweight champ Bernard The Executioner' Hopkins at the Thomas and Mack Centre in Las Vegas on April 19. With both fighters making more than 20 world title defences and also being in a select band of men who have held championship belts for over 10 years this is the fight no-one wanted to miss, and one that both boxers were desperate to win.
An estimated 10,000 Calzaaghe fans made the journey to cheer on their hero, which was set for an amazing dust up when the bell for round one rung. These two were at each other for months and were chomping at the bit to finally be able to do the business where it counts, in the ring.
