MATT King is relishing the prospect of taking on Wigan at the JJB Stadium tonight, Friday.

Although Wolves were eventually beaten 40-34 at St Helens in the Challenge Cup on Saturday, King enjoyed the atmosphere generated by the match.

King, who has dismissed rumours suggesting he would not see out his four-year contract with Wolves, said: "Playing in games against St Helens and Wigan, the atmosphere on the field is awesome.

"Luckily I get to experience that for two weekends in a row, so I'm very excited."

King admits Wigan were one of the clubs he could have joined this year, with Wolves eventually sealing his capture after being late entrants in the race to sign the Australian international.

King said: "Wigan were a possibility but there were a few others as well.

"It was just part of the process of finding a new club."

It just gets worse. It's obvious especially after tonight that we just CAN'T compete with teams like Wigan. Is it the coach or the players or both? It's probably the fans after all.
its definitly the coach can,t do his job properly. simon moran get rid do the decent thing.....

Matt must be getting the warrington bug now! I'm as excited as ever before the wigan game, more so than for a saints match. Whether thats because we can genuinely compete with wigan but not saints i don't know, but the wigan away fixture is always the first fixture i look for at the beginning of each season, there's always a much better atmosphere at the jjb than knowsley road or whatever it's called these days.
